Rotate PDF pages and save them that way
Fix pages that were scanned sideways or upside down, and save the PDF so it opens the right way round for everyone. Turn the whole file or only the pages that are wrong. Nothing is uploaded and nothing gets blurrier.
How to do it
- Drop your PDF on the page, or press «Choose file».
- Under «Which pages», choose «All pages», «Landscape pages», «Portrait pages», odd or even pages, or tap the ones to turn.
- Choose the «Direction»: «Left», «Right» or «180°».
- Press «Rotate pages», then «Save».
Good to know
- Rotating in a PDF viewer usually changes only what you see, and the file opens sideways again next time. Here the turn is written into a new file, so it stays rotated on every device.
- Only some pages are sideways? Choose «Landscape pages» and they are picked by their shape, so you do not have to hunt through a long scan.
- A double-sided scan where every back side came out upside down: choose «Even pages» and «180°».
Questions
How do I rotate a PDF and save it permanently?
Choose the pages and the direction, press «Rotate pages» and save the new file. The rotation is part of that file, so it stays that way wherever it is opened.
How do I rotate just one page in a PDF?
Tap that page in the preview. The tool switches to «Choose» with only your page selected. Pick the direction and press «Rotate pages»; the other pages are left alone.
Does rotating a PDF reduce its quality?
No. The pages are copied exactly as they are and only their direction changes, so text and pictures stay as sharp as in the original.
